Visual Language Resit Work

Task one and Task two,  Development work  To create a book i will need to decide on a theme taken from space, place or narrative. Research  "Photography is a way of telling what you feel about what you see" Ansel Adams - www.photographyknowhow.com  I have decided to work under the theme of place and the idea for the book is to find historical pictures of North St and the Bedminster area, some maybe before WW2. I will compare these historical photos with pictures I have taken myself. It will be so interesting to see the difference and how things have changed over the years. Here is an example of a historical photograph taken in the 1960s, although this was taken looking down Park St it is still an informative image of the era, and was also taken in black and white   This photo was taken right in the centre of Bristol by Baldwin street and it is really good to see it in colour which allows you to look into the image in more depth. ...

Photographing ourselves (Photographic Techniques) Resit

Task One and Two  Documentary Photographic Project For this project, I need to take images related to work. Firstly, I have made a decision on who I can contact regarding the documentary and have sent out inquiries, at present I am waiting for the replies.  I have organized to follow a farm worker who for the purposes of this documentary I will call John. John will be spending the day working at a farm not too far away from where he lives, on the Mendips. I will begin with John's  day at the farm and take shots at certain times during the day. These are the 10 images shot during the day I spent with John whilst he was at work. This was John arriving at the farm in the morning.  After driving the 4x4 we drove on into a yard where John needed to do some maintenance work.         I liked this shot especially with the sign on the right hand side while John opens the padlocked gate, which show...
