Gathering of innovative and visually cohesive examples of print promotion from a range of sources to support our show promotion and my personal promotion.
For example, posters, flyers, and cards.
The colour of the text makes it so easy to read and the design is not too complicated.
Again this is a fairly simple design in terms of layout, it looks as if it's an image that has been zoomed in and you are still able to see the grid.
The colour of the text matches the image behind but you are still able to read it quite easily.
I like how the collage style has been used on the portrait to the right-hand side, it's a good combination of different designs with. The portrait on the left has been edited and the pink really does draw your eye in.
This is such a good portrait which could well have been shot in the studio, I think that promotional posters which include portraits really do draw your eye in and make you read what will be happening
This works well as the subject of the portrait shot is actually looking out directly at you, as the portrait and background are black and white the orange and white text stand out really well.
This uses the collage effect as well but this time there are no portraits included, although the use of colour definitely helps to stand out.
The colours used on this flyer are not very eye-catching although the layout and design work very well, personally I quite like the idea of a simple design. you are always able to read all of the information fairly quickly without losing interest in what you are reading.
These are some screenshots of posters used by clothing brands, as I have shown on some of the other examples above using a collage style seems to be quite popular.
Just a small thing the yellow in his jumper stans out so well against his white jeans and trousers.
The sky is quite a simillar tone to that of the Copson piecce of clothing.
The combination of the two pictures in black and white work so well. The colours are quite a light tone and subtle.
These next two are made for two well known clothing companies Only NY and also Carhartt.
The two images above have quite a simple design, but personally, I think they draw your eye straight to them, especially the portrait shot of the Lady as she is looking directly at you.
This could work quite well with text over the top but you would definitely need to position in the right place.
