Monochrome research

Lisa Leone

Crazy Legs at home in The Bronx, the early 1990s

Such good composition and I like how he's not even looking at the camera as she took the shot, although it's in the early 1990s it seems like it could have been taken in the 1980s,

I really like how she has made such good depth of field in this picture, it brings him right to the front.

This is a great image and it almost looks like the girl was moving as she took the shot

Sally Mann Candy Cigarette, from the series immediate family

This is a great image and I think she asked the young girl to hold the cigarette, it looks like someone is stood on stilts behind her but you can't see it too well because of the blur from the depth of field.

This must have been taken with a long exposure to have the light traces of Picasso.

It's great to be working in black and white/monochrome and it really gives the photograph a different kind of character, for me personally like I said before it kind of makes you think it's not a such modern image
